The conference hotel is full. They’ve already filled up our first reservation block, given us an expanded number of rooms (twice), and they have no more space.
The Skokie Holiday Inn has made arrangements with the Holiday Inn O’Hare (which isn’t actually at O’Hare) to give us a block of rooms there.

There are other hotels in the area, though none within walking distance. (Don’t be fooled if you go on-line and locate some motels on Lincoln Avenue; they are there, but they’re the sort with which the vice squad is familiar.)
There are other hotels within driving distance, if you have a car, or within a reasonable taxi ride, if you don’t.
Evanston would be another possibility (up to 9 mi. away). So would Morton Grove or Niles (just under 4 miles from Skokie)
There is space at the Sheraton in Northbrook (10.4 mi. away, a 15-min. commute if there isn’t much traffic). It’s a nearly straight shot up I-94. The Hotwire rate was excellent, and the hotel’s ratings are high.
Consider using a discount service like Hotwire; area hotel rooms run fairly high, otherwise.
Check the here for the reservation code for the O’Hare Holiday Inn . . . we should have that up shortly. We did get the same room rate there as we got at the Skokie site . . . $109.
